Valley of Fire

Valley of Fire is Nevada’s oldest state park! It’s about an hour away from Downtown Las Vegas and a great day trip if you’re visiting the area. There’s a $10 per car entrance fee, and it’s $30 per night to camp. We spent a few hours here but only did a couple short hikes, so you could easily spend more time at the park if you wanted to!

They shoot car commercials here so we thought it was appropriate to give our little Yaris a photoshoot. This car was perfect because gas in the West Coast is much more expensive than in Florida and yet we barely spent any money on gas!

What’s your favorite state park?
