During this time of #SocialDistancing and #Quarantine, I wanted to try and find different ways to be creative and have fun while staying home. Something I love doing is planning outfits, so I thought it would enjoyable to plan different outfits around each of my Disney themed bags. I decided to turn this into an Instagram series, and divided my bags into three categories: Crossbody, Backpack, and Passholder Purse. I have done my best to include links where available, or tag something similar.
Bag 1: Shellie May Crossbody/Backpack
The great thing about this bag is that it can be worn 3 different ways; as tote, crossbody, or backpack! I would wear this cozy outfit (this sweater is one of the softest I own) on one of those few cooler Florida winter days.
Bag 2: Minnie Macaron Crossbody
I’ve named this outfit Dots on Dots on Dots. This bag was a gift and I cannot wait to wear it at this year’s Food & Wine Festival at Epcot. It’s the perfect combo of my favorite things: food, fashion, Disney, and pink!
Bag 1: Mickey Mouse Backpack
I found this bag on Zara Kids a few years ago and couldn’t pass it up! I think it’s such a classic, and the best part is that it was only around $30. My only complaint about it is that the straps do tend come undone easily. For this outfit I wanted to play up on Mickey’s black and red color scheme, and also create a look that could be worn both inside and outside the parks.
Bag 2: Minnie Mouse Backpack
I received all of the components of this outfit as gifts, so I guess you could say my family and friends know me pretty well! This backpack is perfect for Florida weather because the outside is made of a waterproof material so everything inside stays dry! Works great for those water rides too.
I am not sure where they originated from, but passholder purses are very popular at Tokyo Disney Resort where both these bags were purchased. We even saw people use them in the city of Tokyo to hold their train passes. They essentially only hold your tickets, credit cards/IDs, and some lip balm; but are super cute!
Bag 1: Winter Winnie the Pooh Passholder
Bag: Tokyo Disney Hat: Similar Dress: Thrifted
I found the exact bag on eBay but they were charging $30 and another $50 for shipping. It originally only cost $15, so don’t waste your money. It’s cute, but not THAT cute. Anyway, I picture myself in this outfit wandering the Hundred Acre Woods on a summer’s day looking for Hunny Trees.
Bag 2: Shellie May Crossbody
Once again I just want to remind you that this website is charging $42 for a bag that costs on average $15-20 in the parks. If you REALLY want it, then save your $$$ and instead use it on an unforgettable trip to Japan. I dubbed this outfit ‘Date Night at Disney’ because it’s still casual but dressed up enough to eat at most of Disney’s fine dining establishments.
Which outfit/bag was your favorite?
