At the start of 2020 I wrote a list of goals I wanted to accomplish. I went and read those today and just laughed. #thankscovid
However one of those goals I DID accomplish, and its arguably the most important one. It was Focus on the Present. 2019 was not a great year for me. We didn’t really love South Florida, my job gave me huge amounts of anxiety and stress, and it was just overall hard. I really tried to be happy and appreciate all that I had, but moving halfway through 2020 made me realize that sometimes the best decision IS leaving the situation you are in.
2020 was a hard year for many many individuals and families, but ultimately it was a year of joy and gratitude for us. Sure, we weren’t able to do everything or travel everywhere we wanted. But we were blessed to grow closer together thanks to quarantine, move closer to family, and most importantly stay safe and healthy.

We moved to Orlando (my hometown) in June, and I was very worried about finding a job in the middle of pandemic with so many furloughs, layoffs, etc. I was ultimately blessed to find a job within a month of moving. Five months in and I am pleased to say that I not only love my job but also have an amazing team and supervisor. In general, our little family has been SO much happier here, Winston probably the most haha.
For 2021 we do have a few goals but they’re somewhat personal so I have decided not to share them here. But most of all, I have decided to enter this year with no expectations. 2020 definitely taught us all that.
Happy New Year everyone!
